Why you should lis­ten to her

Kristin estab­lished Bridge8 in 2004 fol­low­ing careers in engi­neer­ing, human resources and prod­uct devel­op­ment across sec­tors such as min­ing, R&D, avi­a­tion, agri­cul­ture and nanotechnology.

She has com­bined her post­grad­u­ate qual­i­fi­ca­tions in engi­neer­ing and strate­gic fore­sight to deliver insights into the devel­op­ment of devel­op­ing indus­try sec­tors includ­ing advanced man­u­fac­tur­ing and clean tech­nolo­gies. She is par­tic­u­larly inter­ested in the ‘why’ ques­tions about the role of sci­ence and tech­nol­ogy and their links with inno­va­tion, eco­nomic devel­op­ment, social change and sustainability.

With teach­ers, Kristin has devel­oped Access­Nano, a national nan­otech­nol­ogy edu­ca­tion resource, and is a co-founder of Clean­Fu­tures AquaSens, a com­pany com­mer­cial­is­ing a nanobiosen­sor for the water and wine indus­tries. She lec­tures in ‘Fore­sight and Social Change’ at the Uni­ver­sity of Ade­laide and has pub­lished chap­ters in Oppor­tu­ni­ties Beyond Car­bon and Big Ideas in Sci­ence – Vol 2 & 3.
