Why you should listen to her
Kristin established Bridge8 in 2004 following careers in engineering, human resources and product development across sectors such as mining, R&D, aviation, agriculture and nanotechnology.
She has combined her postgraduate qualifications in engineering and strategic foresight to deliver insights into the development of developing industry sectors including advanced manufacturing and clean technologies. She is particularly interested in the ‘why’ questions about the role of science and technology and their links with innovation, economic development, social change and sustainability.
With teachers, Kristin has developed AccessNano, a national nanotechnology education resource, and is a co-founder of CleanFutures AquaSens, a company commercialising a nanobiosensor for the water and wine industries. She lectures in ‘Foresight and Social Change’ at the University of Adelaide and has published chapters in Opportunities Beyond Carbon and Big Ideas in Science – Vol 2 & 3.
