Wel­come to the TEDx­Can­berra web site!

We’ve been think­ing about try­ing this for a year or so now, ever since the TEDx Pro­gram was announced at TED 2009. And finally, it’s here!

But we’re a long way off yet. In time — we’re going to be on the 23^rd Octo­ber 2010 if noth­ing goes wrong. And in logistics…

We’ve got a few eager vol­un­teers who are (it seems) bliss­fully unaware of what this is going to take. But we have a lot of things to do:

• select a venue (for 100 peo­ple or so)
• assem­ble the TEDx­Can­berra team
• attract and involve spon­sors and partners
• iden­tify and attract speak­ers and performers
• actu­ally plan the day
• invite guests
• and, most impor­tantly, get you, our atten­dees, to sign up

So, there’s much to be done!
