Plans afoot

Or is that afeet (given there are many).

Yes­ter­day, we held the first TEDx­Can­berra plan­ning brain­storm with an even dozen enthu­si­as­tic folks gath­er­ing at acid­labs HQ to puz­zle out a bunch of prob­lems and logis­tics around the event. It’s all com­ing together nicely in terms of assign­ing roles and respon­si­bil­i­ties and fig­ur­ing out on what and where we need to spend money or attract support.

Here’s how things are track­ing for us so far:

• select a venue — sev­eral options between 150 and 500 seats to be finalised in the next week or so
• build a team of organ­is­ers and vol­un­teers — ongo­ing
• attract sup­port­ers — ongo­ing
• select and invite speak­ers and per­form­ers — ongo­ing
• event plan­ning — con­stantly!

We’ve a long way to go, but with extra bod­ies involved now, we’re well underway.
