One of the things that inspires us most at TEDx Canberra are the amazing wishes the TED Prize seeks to make real. And the wish that’s inspired us perhaps more than any other is Karen Armstrong’s wish to establish the Charter for Compassion.
The Charter, which several TEDxCanberra members have endorsed, states “We urgently need to make compassion a clear, luminous and dynamic force in our polarized world.”
While Karen Armstrong is a woman of strong faith, and the Charter grounds itself in faith thinking, we at TEDxCanberra believe it is universally applicable to the faithful, agnostic and atheist alike and urge you to consider endorsing the Charter for yourself or your organisation.
